Hi

Been having a lot of problems since switching. feeling unwell, sleepy and blood pressure plummets and I cant stand up late PM and then my blood results- salts dropping, crp 91 etc.

I have ended up taking extra dose of Hydrocortisone to get me through the afternoons. I am on 20mg in morning and 10mg in the afternoon which is supposed to be switching like with like although the strength changes to compensate so 10mg or prednisolone is 30mg of Hydrocortisone.

Anyway- left a message for the endocrine team to ring me and today they rang to say the suspect I have Primary Addisons disease.
this is different to steroid induced secondary addisons as it means several other chemicals are compromised. Fearing that I might end up in hospital again it was worth ringing and leaving a message wasnt it?!

she is going to write to GP and Rheumatology to let them know and for me to start having this new drug as soon as possible. then I can go back to taking the proper dose of hydrocortisone (20mg and then 10 in the afternoon instead of the 20mg and 20mg I am taking at the moment).

Jenni xx

Hi Jenni

So very sorry to hear of all the problems you are having. You are one brave lady in the face of such adversity.

Hope the children and Richard are okay (well as much as they can be with a poorly Jenni).

You are in my thoughts.
